Ethical subjectivity / Moral relativism

Orig. Date: 2011-03-30

Pondering the profound stupidity and ignorance that IS ethical subjectivity and moral relativism ... that ignorant, selfish "if it feels good, do it" and "it's good for ME, therefore, it's good" and "who are you to judge me" attitude.

Ones who engage in this type of mentality regardless of the pain they inflict on others might even know that these philosophies lead only to alienation, despair, and loneliness, but they're so caught up in self, they don't even care about tomorrow, even if it means they'll die lonely.

It's not what you do, it's who you hurt ... even if it's only yourself that you're hurting.  The time is now for introspection. The time is now to get a moral compass, and not the kind you draw on the back of your hand.
